This convertible car seat has a rear facing capacity from 5 to 40 pounds which is a safety benefit for larger babies.

The forward facing weight range is from 20 to 65 pounds and the height range is under 50 inches.

The seat also has SureLATCH connectors that can help with LATCH belt tension.

The Approximate retail price for the Evenflo Momentum 65 Deluxe convertible car seat is from $130-$200.

The Cosco Scenera 40RF Convertible Car Seat

Cosco Scenera 40RF Convertible Car SeatOne of the top rated “Best Buy” convertible cars seat was the Cosco Scenera 40RF.

This convertible car seat didn’t have some of the higher end features found in more
expensive convertible car seats, however it is simple to install and the price is very
reasonable from $44 to $66.

In addition to the reasonable price the Cosco Scenera 40RF has a rear facing capacity
up to forty (40) pounds which is a safety benefit for larger babies.

The car seat is light weight and it’s simple to transfer it to different vehicles.

This convertible car seat is also narrow leaving more room in the back seat for additional car seats or other items.


The Safety 1st OnSide Air Convertible Car Seat

Safety 1st OnSide Air Convertible Car SeatThe Safety 1st OnSide Air convertible car seat was also rated very high and is another Consumer Reports® “Best Buy”.

The benefits of this convertible car set is the rear facing capacity up to forty (40) pounds which is also a safety benefit for larger babies.

The Safety 1st OnSide Air also uses “Air-Protect” technology that potentially improves the damage inflicted in a side-impact crash.

Like the Cosco Scenera it is also light weight and very portable. This car seat is easy to use and has a simple design.

The Safety 1st OnSide Air convertible car seat retails from approximately $75-$95.

The Cosco Scenera Convertible Car Seat


Cosco Scenera Convertible Car SeatThis Convertible Car Seat was third (3rd) in the ratings as a “Best Buy” and like the Cosco Scenera 40RF doesn’t come with some of the higher end features found in more expensive convertible car seats but it too has a reasonable price and is easy to use.

The approximate retail price for the Cosco Scenera is $60 and is part of the Dorel Juvenile Products group. This car seat was rated excellent in crash protection and forward facing fit to vehicle.

The Cosco Scenera was rated good for ease of use and rear facing fit to vehicle.

Like the 40RF version this car seat is also narrow enough to add more car seats in the back or leave extra space for other items.
