Rapides, LA – Driver Killed After Being Ejected – No Seat Belt Used

Boyce Woman Killed In Rapides Parish Crash

Late yesterday afternoon, a single vehicle crash killed a woman from Boyce, LA.

Troopers responded to the crash around 4:30 pm, which occurred on LA Hwy 28 at Brown’s Creek Road.

The crash involved a 2003 Ford pickup, driven by Aimee Clark (W/F 38 yrs). The Ford was west bound on LA Hwy 28 when Clark lost control and exited the right side of the roadway.

After exiting the roadway, the vehicle collided with a culvert before overturning.

Clark was not wearing her seatbelt and was ejected. She was transported to Rapides Regional Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.

Routine toxicology tests are pending. The crash remains under investigation.

Louisiana State Police would like to take this opportunity to remind/inform motorists that properly wearing your seatbelt will dramatically reduce your chance of being injured or killed in a crash. We ask you to take one second to “buckle up!”

Troop E troopers have investigated eight fatal crashes for the year of 2012, resulting in ten fatalities.
